For those looking to party to those who just want to sit back and relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand, Phuket is the ultimate escape. We have been to Phuket about 8 times and each time things just get better. Our first few trips to Thailand it was hard to go past the bustling markets and cheap bargains (which turn out to be less of a bargain when you get home and realise you didn’t really need it). After a couple of trips we now favour the relaxing life by the pool and the luxury life at the resorts. Thavorn Beach Village & Spa between Patong and Kamala is our home away from home when ever we visit Phuket. Phuket has lots to offer from shows like Phuket Fantasea & Simon Cabaret to snorkelling and island tours. We normally visit in November when the weather is hot and a rain storm passes over during the afternoons. We have been once in July and the weather wasn’t as good, and being off season the atmosphere just isn’t the same. The Tiger Inn is our favourite place to eat with authentic Thai dishes to burgers and beers. For a cheap meal take the 15 minute Tuk Tuk ride to Kamla beach and dine at the restaurants right on the beach.
